Rajasthan Royals handed Punjab Kings their first defeat of IPL 2025, beating them convincingly by 50 runs in Mullanpur. Put into bat, Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed his first half-century of the season, as RR posted 205 in 20 overs. PBKS lost two wickets in their first over and were four down inside the first seven overs.
Nehal Wadhera hit a fifty as PBKS tried to rebuild, but great spells by Maheesh Theekshana and Sandeep Sharma pegged them back, as they stumbled to 155/9. This is also RR's second straight win.
